Nutshell activated carbon is a high-performance sorbent produced from certified agricultural by-products — primarily coconut, almond, palm, and walnut shells. Following the activation of the high temperature vapor, the compact lignocellulose material is converted to a hard, high-porosity carbon structure with an unusually high percentage (0.5 – 1.8 nm) of the micro-pores.
